Unemployment in Spain in 2026: statistics and trends

Spain's unemployment rate was close to 10% in August, against 6.1% in the EU and 6.4% in the eurozone. According to INE, it fell to 9.87% in the second quarter, the lowest since 2008, with about 22.8 million people employed. September recorded 2.38 million registered unemployed, the lowest September figure since 2007.
